My take on a St Patrick's Day Cocktail
I've seen the green mimosas, and the green beer. This year I decided that I want to make a cocktail for St Patrick's Day, that some might not think to make. Before I get into it I would like to tell a long winded story about how I came up with this…just kidding, I hate blogs that do that.
So for this drink I was more inspired by the idea of the rainbow, and decided this was my take on it. I love using Empress Gin! This Canadian gin is not only amazing, but it's made with pea blossoms that change from a blue colour to a pink/purple when citrus is added. It is so fun to make cocktails with. I have made Halloween cocktails, Harry Potter themed cocktails. The colour changing makes you look like a magician. Plus it tastes amazing.
For the cocktail you'll need:
Sparkling lemonade (I got mine from Trader Joe's)
1oz of Empress Gin
Sprig of rosemary for a garnish.
Rock glass full of ice.
It's super easy. Add your 1oz of the Empress gin, and top with the sparkling lemonade and sprig of rosemary. You're done! It's cute and bright. As the lemonade mixes with the gin it will change colour. Cheers!!!!
