A look inside our playroom.
I always get compliments and questions about our playroom and to be honest it is my favourite room in the house. I feel playrooms should be fun, bright and full of energy.
The whole look of the playroom started with the wallpaper. Graham & Brown did a limited line with a street artist, and if we move I want to take this wall with me. It's called "alien crowd" and it's by Kevin Munday and I'm obsessed.
Everyone who knows me knows I like neutral colours or just black and white, so this was a huge step for me. I also like random stuff and art and I decorated with what I like regardless. If you decorate with stuff you love you can never go wrong. So don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone.
The Lego stored blocks were purchased on Amazon , and these store everything from Lego to just random stuff without a space. The paper storage bag is from Tell Kiddo and their wonderful site can be found here. My son's room also has one if their paper storage bags and we love it. Had it for almost two years now and they have held up great.
Our white play kitchen is by Kid Kraft. I will say this about it, you have to assemble the whole thing and it takes a FEW hours. Both my son and daughter love this kitchen and it is one of the few places they will play together.
Currently the most popular piece in our playroom (I tried to clean it but my son kept bringing out blocks) is a Melissa & Doug play table I converted to a Lego table. I flipped the table boards, painted them black, and then sprayed glued 6 Lego mats and used a rolling pin to make sure they were in place. Now the kids have the option of a Lego table or flipped back to a plain table for painting or art. I will be posting a video in the future of how to make that. Honestly you could take an Ikea table and glue some Lego boards on it and have a very affordable building table.
Hope you enjoyed this small sneak peek inside our playroom.
