Wildflower Zion: A glamping experience.

Hopefully you read my blog about Zion National Park with kids, and now its time to tell you where we rested our heads. Wildflower Zion glamping resort, and the best part is it just opened! We had the amazing opportunity to be there for their opening night. They have glamping tents, covered wagons, and private bungalows. All with AC!

They describe their resort on their website as:

The tent that was right beside us. There is plenty of distance between tents. Each patio has two rocking chairs and a table.

After we spent our day at Zion National Park we were lucky enough to return to this amazing location. My kids have been glamping before and wanted to stay in one of the single pole canvas tents. It did not disappoint. King bed for me and two single beds for the kids, not to mention lights that lit up the tent at night. The beds were so comfortable. There are 3 solar lanterns to illuminate the tent at night and also to be used to light your way to the bathrooms.

The tent also had plenty of sitting which I really loved. Two amazing black & white chairs, and then two floor poofs. We used the poofs for playing our games. Did I mention there is no tv in the tent? Amazing! We packed card games, board games, and it was some amazing time. We needed to disconnect, especially during this time, and I can’t explain how great it was for my kids to do so. The tent did have a USB port for charging your phone, an alarm clock, and a plug if you needed one. They don't have bathrooms, but those are a quick walk down the hill. Unfortunately, I filmed the bathroom area and it didn’t take. So the bathroom area is located down from the wagons and tents, since the bungalows have bathroom in them. Don’t forget to bring your towels from your tent, there are no shower towels down there. I did love the products they had in the shower. Loved that is was in a dispenser, so there was no extra waste. They didn’t have a towel bin there, but I brought that up to them and they are working on it. That is something else I really loved, they were open to comment/opinions and making this resort the best they could.

When we weren’t busy hanging out in our tent, we took the time to walk down in the hub area. They currently don’t have food on site, they do have a food truck come on weekends. I would inquire before you get there if they will be having a truck. We simply ate our leftovers from dinner and had tons of snacks in our cooler. The hub area has an amazing seating area, under a large tent like canopy. Large block Jenga. Ping Pong. Spike Ball. Corn Hole.

My kids loved that they could run around the huge grass lawn. The games were so fun to play, and they loved wetting their feet in the fountain as well. Near the swing and playhouse area they also have a book area, where you can borrow for a bedtime story. They gave us a smores kit upon arrival and it was so fun to make those at the bonfire at night. Bonfire times differ based on dusk, so I would just enquire when you check-in.

The main office is currently located just by the grass and games area, and you can grab any extra snacks or drinks you might want before you head back to your tent. This is also where you will check in, but obviously you won't need a key ;)

The lights lining the tent at night give it such an amazing feel.

Being a brand new resort I was very impressed. I forget the gentleman's name who was working the front desk when we checked in, but he was the sweetest guy ever. He was so helpful and just all around kind. They have a few kinks to work out, but as I write this I'm sure they have already worked many of them out. I can't wait to see it next year when everything starts to grow in and they have that much more experience.

It's amazing to look at the stars at night. You can enjoy them from the rocking chairs on the back patio.

Zion National Park during the day and relaxing in our tent at night. Glamping is always the way we reset as a family, and this new resort did not disappoint. Be sure to watch the video below that has a tour of our tent.

Have you been to Zion? And have you ever been glamping?
