Skyliner travel times

I have been asked this lately so I thought I’d share our rides times to Epcot and Hollywood Studios from the Pop Century resort on the Disney Skyliner.

The Skyliner has really added some value to some of the value resorts. Particularly the Art of Animation and Pop Century resorts, which is where the skyliner begins and ends on the one line. I can’t comment on line wait times for the Skyliner, we were at Pop Century during the week of Christmas and never waited longer than 10 minutes. The Skyliner was constantly loading and the line was always moving, and you don’t have to fold up strollers. Art of Animation and Pop are HUGE resorts, so having this added amenity is a huge plus with crowds going to the parks. When crowds are large they will put a sign up saying they have extra buses going to the parks. That being said, the skyliner will not operate when lightning is in the area. We have actually been on the Skyliner when they announced that they had to shut it down because of the weather. So keep in mind that there is a chance it will not be operating, or you may be stuck at a location. If you’re leaving Hollywood Studios, at least the busses and skyliner are located in the same area. If you were leaving Epcot to ride the skyliner and it was shutdown you would be forced to walk to the front of Epcot to take a bus or walk to Disney Boardwalk hotel and catch a bus.

The skyliner will run when it rains, but will not if lightning or high winds are in the area

Pop Century, Art of Animation, Disney Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney Riviera Resort all have direct access to the Skyliner. The Epcot Skyliner terminal, aka International Gateway, gives the Epcot resorts around Crescent Lake access to the Skyliner as well. Not as easily accessible, but totally doable. Disney Beach Club, Disney Yacht Club, Disney Boardwalk and Swan & Dolphin could all utilize the International Gateway Terminal.

Pop Century and Art of Animation are the starting/end point at the Hourglass Lake Terminal, and travels to Disney Caribbean Beach resort first l, aka “the hub”. Everyone must exit the Skyliner at this spot. Disney Caribbean Beach Resort has lines that go back to Pop and AOA, Hollywood Studios and Disney Riviera/Epcot. En route to Epcot you will go through the Disney Riviera Resort terminal, you can get off if you are staying at that resort or are there for dining. Otherwise, if heading through to Epcot the doors will open and you will just stay in your Skyliner to continue on to Epcot. So if you are staying at Disney Riviera resort you may be delayed in the mornings with all the full cars going to Epcot. When COVID protocols are reduced they will eventually get back to adding people to the cars instead of keeping it just one family.

Here are some of the approximate travel times when riding the Skyliner, and these were during the week of Christmas 2022
