Single day ticket and Genie+

This will be short and sweet. I recently purchased a single day ticket to Epcot in a panic because the new Guardians Coaster release date was announced. To make sure we got entry into Epcot, I booked just a one day ticket because I hadn’t decided on the other parks yet. Well here is what 2 hours on hold with Disney taught me.

I was informed of this recent change by the second cast member I talked to. First, I learnt that Genie+ does not sell out! For some reason I was under the impression that they would reach a sold out point. I guess instead the more people that have it, the more times get pushed back or you just don’t get the ride you were hoping. Secondly, if you purchase a SINGLE day park ticket you can NOT add Genie+ to it ahead of time. Once the clock hits midnight the day of your visit, you may purchase your Genie+. I will probably do that because the stress of purchasing it the morning right before booking rides is too much. So if you are like me, don’t stress because Genie+ does not sell out, and you can purchase it the day of your visit. Just not in advance like in the past.
