My “always get” cocktails and mocktails at the WDW Parks

One of our favourite things to do when visiting WDW is to try new food and drinks. Nothing is nothing I love more than sitting to enjoy a drink and people watch. Any Epcoter will know that any of the festivals happening there offer a great opportunity to try new things, but today I’m talking about “what is a drink that you ALWAYS order when visiting?”. I’m going to break down my must have alcoholic beverage and my kids pick for their must have refreshment for ALL the WDW parks and not just Epcot. I will do Disneyland another time, but let’s focus on the WDW parks and maybe even some resort drinks while we are at it.

I am going to just dive right in and start with my favourite park, Epcot, and my go to drink. I do have festival drinks that I can’t live without, but this blog is focusing on “everyday” park drinks that I personally enjoy. I could write and will probably write an entire blog on that Egg Nog with the peanut butter whisky from Festival of the Holidays. Epcot is honestly the hardest park for me to pick just one drink. The countries offer so many options and this pick might change the more I dive into the different countries. I am actually going to pick two cocktails. First is the frosè in the France pavillion, and is probably one of the most photographed drinks in front of the fountain. It’s frozen, it’s rosè, it’s just a nice slushy treat to enjoy in the Florida sun. The booth is called LES VINS DES CHEFS DE FRANCE and is located by the fountain and is a stand alone location. There is usually a line that moves fairly quickly. They also have other bubbly selections and different types of slushy drinks. I like to enjoy this drink and people watch or take in the street performers. I love grabbing a baguette and just carb loading, maybe even spritz myself with some perfume. Second would have to be the drink I get asked about the most and I’m actually surprised more people don’t know about it. You can find it at the KABUKI CAFE and it’s the frozen Kirin draft for around $7. If you’re facing the Japan pavillion it is located just to the left. It’s a Kirin draft beer BUT the foam is a slushy topper. My absolute MUST HAVE adult beverage in Epcot. It’s refreshing, it’s fun, and it’s so good!

Kirin draft with a slushy foam topper. Cheers!!

An added bonus is you can grab some sushi to go with your draft and have an extra special treat. My kids selection may surprise some of you, but definitely not all of you. Though it’s not technically a beverage, it is a drink location. My kids absolutely can’t visit Epcot without visiting ……Club Cool. This Coke sponsored area is where you can get a Dixie cup sample of Coke beverages from around the world. Home of the world famous “Beverley”, which on our last visit may have been ousted as the “most interesting” taste by the new China drink. This gift shop beverage station is so fun and my kids love seeing try some of the more interesting flavors for the first time. It’s not a traditional drink but one to try none the less.

Animal Kingdom

No one adult beverage really grabbed my attention. After all the sweet drinks of Epcot, sometimes I love to just have a cold beer. It might be green but it still tastes like beer. You can find both of my drink picks in Pandora. Hawke’s Grog ale, it comes in two sizes and is a blue moon type ale with, like I mentioned, green colour.

The green has no flavor but being Pandora it really felt like you were being exotic.

You won’t be surprised by my non alcoholic pick, which can also be found in Pandora, the Night Blossum. It’s a colorful slushy mix with boba pearls to top it off. When Disney wants something to look other worldly they just throw some boba on it. This second drink can also be found at Pongu Pongu and is described as:

“A mixture of limeade with apple and desert pear flavors topped with passion fruit boba balls.“

As you can see in the above photos, my kids couldn’t wait to drink it. So perfectly matches the Pandora colour scheme and is tasty to boot.

Hollywood Studios

If you follow my Instagram account you know that I love me some Oga’s Cantina. Even though I wish they had more seating, that won’t stop me from visiting this Galaxy’s Edge watering hole. You can also probably guess my two picks from this location. My adult choice would have to be the Fuzzy Taun Taun, their version of a fuzzy navel type drink. Without spoiling the surprise, just know that I was told “don’t snort the foam”. #iykyk

My kids would also be making an Oga’s selection, but one that can also be bought out in Galaxy’s Edge without a reservation. It would be the Blue Milk and cookie. I don’t personally find it all that tasty, but my kids can’t seem to get enough of this drink. Funny side note: one visit my son drank two or them and it really cleared out his pipes. Lol. Not diarrhea but he enjoyed about 10 minutes of emptying his tubes. Which is probably a good thing. Lol. I do have a second runner up (even though it’s only available at Disneyland) and I am hoping that by writing this I am putting it into the universe for Galaxy’s Edge in Florida to add. It’s the Cold Brew Black Caf and I need it on the East coast!!!! It’s a nitro type coffee drink with a Coco Pebble type topping and I crave one every morning.

Magic Kingdom

Starting this section with the mocktail or the one my kids can’t seem to get enough of. It’s really fun for ALL ages. That would have to be Lefou’ s Brew. On the Disney Parks blog it is described as:

It’s no-sugar added frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow, topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam.

You can find this amazing concoction over in Fantasyland at Gaston’s Tavern, just look for a giant Gaston. If you like Butterbeer, this would be the Disney equivalent of that, and it really is refreshing. For the adult cocktail in Magic Kingdom, which doesn’t really service alcohol so freely as the other parks. Walt’s original view for Magic Kingdom was to not have any alcohol, but things have changed slightly over the years. If you happen to get a reservation at the Cinderella’s Royal table for breakfast or brunch. Read more about their offerings HERE, a very informative Disney website and blogger AllEars. I go to them for any Disney information even I don’t know. Now back to the mimosa, for around $12 you can grab a traditional one of for a few extra dollars you can get a mimosa flight with 3 different types. I don’t have a photo, but you can imagine what a mimosa looks like.

Resort Cocktail Picks

I recently came back from a trip to Disney and we visited the Polynesian resort to see some holiday decorations and just explore. We had lunch at Tambu Lounge where I ordered the Lapu Lapu, not realizing it was served in a pineapple. Be sure to click HERE and DoctorDisney will show you how to make your very own at home. It’s rum and slushy pineapple and just all around good.

Also be sure to visit Trader Sam’s Grotto while at the Polynesian. They have so many great cocktails. Be sure to check out my video about it here. Be sure to get the Nautilus and stayed tuned for a blog entirely about Trader Sam’s.

Pina Colava

Pretty much a staple at any of the Disney resort pool bars, or at least at our last hotel. It’s Bacardi Raspberry Rum blended with Piña Colada Mix and Raspberry Purée. My friends love the mocktail version and get one every pool day.

I know everyone’s tastes are different, but that was just a quick look at some of my favourite cocktails and mocktails you can find throughout the Disney parks.

Cheers! What is a drink that you love?
