What to buy from Amazon BEFORE your Disney trip.

Disney is expensive. There, I said it! So I have put together a list of ways to save money going to the parks. This list is more for families, and some items are something everyone can use. Also keep in the mind the time of year you are going, you won’t need neck fans in December. I will post affiliate links. I will make a small commission if you chose to by using the link, this is at no additional cost to you.

  1. Ponchos - Probably the most needed item for any Disney World vacation. They are easy to roll up and store somewhere. If you go without one, you will have to pay the inflated price once the rain hits. We get ours at Amazon and you can shop the link HERE.

2. Glow necklaces and LED lights - there is no bigger draw than that cart at night blinking and flashing with all the expensive nighttime Disney toys. I save by purchasing some glow necklaces and led lights. I use the LED lights to not only decorate our room window, but also to decorate the stroller handle bar which makes it easier to find our stroller. If you are going to purchase a glow item in the parks, buy the light up balloon the first park night and use it the entire trip. It’s lasts a long time.

Wrap these around your stroller or use to decorate your window

Shop the glow necklaces HERE

You can use these for the whole family.

3. Snack - I always ship a snack box to our room and a case of water. My kids snack all day everyday, and walking around all day only increases that urge. I keep the box in the room and then throw some under the stroller. You can specifically select snacks you want, or just do like a mixed box

Shop the snacks HERE

4. Neck fans and cooling neck towels - Florida can get hot, and these are essentials when visiting during the summer months. I personally prefer the fans that can also be used in line and not clipped on a stroller.

I love these fans because tiny fingers can’t get nipped off. Shop them HERE

The cooling towels, I don’t personally like to use, but my 74 year old mother really loved hers. Plus young kids like them as well. Shop them HERE

5. Band aids and anti chafing sticks. This is more for adults but is also good to use on kids heels or spots where their shoes may rub. Nothing ruins a vacations like a raw chafing spot. So shop it HERE

I won’t even link bandaids, but just bring a bunch. I forgot the last trip and if you ask a lifeguard at the resort it becomes a whole event. Plus have them with you in the parks, actually bring this entire first aid kit under your stroller. Shop HERE

6. Autograph book - my kids don’t collect autographs but if yours do this is good to have. Once again it’s best to have one before you go to save on that inflated price tag. Show the books HERE

7. Lanyards - if you pin trade then be sure to purchase your lanyard ahead of time. I don’t purchase my pins on Amazon because I love getting those in the parks and it’s my one splurge. Shop lanyards HERE

8. Fuel rod - a portable phone charger is a must for visits to Disney. Everything is now done from your cellphone. You can even purchase this from Amazon, save 10 bucks, but then use the Fuel Rod fully charged replacement center the same as if you bought in the park. Shop HERE

So there you have it. Some of the items that I always purchase before I head to the Disney parks. Most of these items can also be used for future trips. I actually have a Tupperware box of Disney items that I always make sure to pack before going to the parks.

Is there anything I missed that you would add?
